Intrinsic Security AntiWorm solutions vendor Intrinsic Security is leading the industry with the first scalable enterprise network security system designed from the ground up to combat worms. FireBreak AntiWorm provides active defense against automatically propagating network worms -- the most devastating type of malware -- without the need for antivirus definitions. The system employs a distributed, scalable network of "tarpits" or "sticky honeypots" and a centrally managed reporting, control, and notification system to trap worms and help network administrators identify their source.

Various studies indicate that as many as 80% of home user's Windows PC systems are presently infected with adware, spyware, viruses or worms. Corporate PC networks are under constant threat, and many see periodic outbreaks of worms costing billions of dollars each year in damages worldwide. Worms like Sasser and MS Blaster become household names, but modern worms like Witty, MyTob, and Phatbot destroy data or allow remote access and control of the PC assets of an organization.

FireBreak AntiWorm helps enterprise network administrators bridge the period of vulnerability known as the "patch gap" -- the time between announcement of an exploitable vulnerability and enterprise-wide deployment of patches to fix it. By trapping worms, slowing their spread, and alerting your staff to the worm sources, FireBreak AntiWorm reduces downtime due to worms.

Intrinsic Security selected CodeFab to assist in the development of the groundbreaking network security product from concept through prototype to first production versions. CodeFab's experience with building scalable transaction oriented systems helped bring the product to market quickly and smoothly. The prototype version demonstrated value on a real world network within 90 days of project start.

In the first year of operation on a network with several Class B address blocks and nearly fifty thousand devices, worm outbreaks were detected by FireBreak AntiWorm an average of two days before they were detected by an industry leading IDS system. Combined with this early warning, the vital Intrusion Suppression capability of FireBreak AntiWorm allowed the very first client to reap significant gain from the system. Outbreaks were detected sooner and contained more easily.

These early results demonstrated product value early in the lifecycle of the product, providing technology validation to early customers, investors, and reseller partners for Intrinsic Security.

CodeFab and Intrinsic Security continue to work together to produce new features for FireBreak AntiWorm.

WireHose If you use WebObjects to develop web applications, you know just how
powerful it is. You can build whatever you need. But sometimes, that's the trouble. WebObjects developers reinvent the wheel every day, solving problems that have already been solved. Writing code to handle content management and personalization. Access control and keyword searching. Knowledge management and portals. Cookies and bookmarkable URLs. WireHose gives top-notch developers, like CodeFab, an advantage: to build very sophisticated systems without having to reinvent the wheel every day.

Introducing WireHose Server 3.0, software that takes WebObjects to the next level. Gary Teter took advantage of all the power offered by WebObjects and the Enterprise Objects Framework (EOF), and created something truly remarkable. A new platform for building web applications that can personalize access to any kind of enterprise
object. A next-generation portal and smart metadata API that's light years ahead of anything offered by Sun, IBM or BEA.

WireHose gives you the tools you need to build the applications your users are asking for -- faster, better and cheaper. And with the new step-by-step WireHose Developers Guide, templates and sample code, you'll get up and running even faster than ever.
